Welcome
Why do I travel? Is it merely a restless spirit, or is there something more to it than that? I believe that my desire to travel is born of curiosity. I’m interested in this world and in the people who inhabit it — my fellow citizens. I also believe that the outward journey is one aspect of the inward journey - that travel allows me to look more deeply into myself. In exploring this world and its inhabitants, I find a way of holding up a mirror, giving me a richer perspective of myself and of the culture into which I was born. I am reminded of the poem “Little Gidding” by T.S. Eliot:
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
